New IP (it was renewed).

Trying new ip but keeps saying timed out or is it just down ?

I pulled the cord out by accident and it renewed the IP on me. This should work...I hope.

I'm now running the server on one computer and have another system set up for programming and testing. Please let me know if the new server computer seems better or worse than before.

Very little lag and no resets make a very enjoyable nwn enviroment.
Basically the server is fine. Just nail down the changing IP address and it will be
near perfect.

Yeah, your server is so good, darksky, one of my best friends (or so i thought) doesnt even bother to respond to my emails because she is "too busy looking for pally items"..........

To tell the truth, I'm really thinking about how to proceed from here on NWN. As you all know, I love the game. I can't think of anything else out there, including NWN2, that comes close for a D&D fan.

My immediate plans? For the Far East server, I plan to pay the extra yen to establish a static IP. If that doesn't fix the problem with the server not showing up on the master server list, I'll try a new router. If that doesn't work, I'm out of ideas.

As for the module, I'm interested in starting another one or heavily modifying KT. Honestly, I don't like guilds, and I think KT shows too much favor to the Knight Templars. I also don't enjoy having the same name as a commercial game.

So, I'm thinking of something that will return to the more balanced PvP aspects of the DX modules while still incorporating a lot of the script improvements I made in KT.

The Far East server will probably run new programming, and the original KT will stay up on the other server for the foreseeable future.

Werehound, I am one of your best friends and hope to be for along time, I am NOT looking for pally items, I have not got an email from you and if I had I would have relpyed. Sorry you feel this way. :*(

Just to make sure ,but are both servers down 2nd day or is it just me. I have both servers offline not showing on the list, neither direct connect works.

Both servers are down for me at the moment.
I think the Far East one may have been up for a while earlier today

I have as yet to be able to log into the Far east server

Ah well, hopefully if Sarah gets a perm IP I will be able to.

nuli that sucks i still have to go through a ton of tries to get in myself but i usually get in evenutally. i agree i hope that the static ip will make things a bit easier

I have noticed something very odd when connecting to the Far East server.
So far I have seen the following port changes in the past two days when I am able to connect:

122.145.75.174:34495
122.145.75.174.34948
122.145.75.174:34957
122.145.75.174:34983

Well you get the idea…

You can verify by selecting the Server Info tab once you are able to connect.

Not sure if this is a problem on my end or somewhere else, because when I check the nwnplayer.ini file the entry under [History Page] reads:

[History Page]
Server0=122.145.75.174:5121

I am using the following as a workaround for now. I created a direct connection shortcut on my desktop, but left out the port information.

C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\nwmain.exe +connect 122.145.75.174

And when I use the Direct Connect from within gamespy I leave the port information out as well.
I hope this helps others that have been having the same problem connecting.

Sorry, I had to unplug the router (crappy Belkin) and it renewed the IP on me.

I'm planning to buy a much better router this week, and my ISP is working on the static IP. They estimate up to another week to get one. Apparently they have to negotiate with mainland Japan to get a static IP.

:*( this isn't working for some. But we will keep trying. We will NOT give up.

The entire Addams family cannot get into Far East with new IP address.

I have had no proplem connecting . . untill now . This IP is timed out. And the old server is major glitch /bugged like Zog said -dont enjoy jumping into other toons bodies lol . thank You in advance for your anticipated assistance . We all realize that you are doing the best you can and life isnt going to stop just to let you deal with these issues

n e word on that static ip??? i havnt played in days and im goin through withdrawls.... and the u.s. sever is unplayable atm. it needs a reset very badly.

Yes today was one of those days where I was checking every 10 mins to see if we had new IP address. So we will keep trying.
