Ok... I did the (RUN) ipconfig and got the ip from there. if this one don't work I'm lost.

172.16.0.36:5121

This one was one of the ones up in the topic, didn't work either. (have re-tried)

I'm not going to be able to fix this without having someone come out and look at it, I will see what I can do. Again I am truly sorry. Sad

I miss playing DX just as much as you all, so for now until I get my IP address worked out, have you guys tried "Neverwinter" it's pretty cool and free, if you do send me a invite. Daxiaa@daxiaa or Eclipse@daxiaa

I don't know, this is his baby. I never thought he would let me run DX but he did and I was honored. That's why I have to ask him before letting anyone run DX.

I got a reply from Sarah, he's isn't going to let anyone else host DX2. So I'll do my best to get DX2 up and running for you guys. Just need a little time.

can we donate to help or something? I'm going through a horrible amount of stress right now, school work and my girlfriend just broke up with me. Family isn't doing so great, and i could really use the nostalgic release of playing DX2. It literally is still my favorite game to play and this mod is just so amazing. i would do anything to get the release of being able to play right now :/

Any IP address in any of these ranges is a private IP address, which means you can only get in if you're plugged into the same subnet (kinda like a big router):
10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255 (=16,777,216 addresses)
172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255 (=1,048,576 addresses)
192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255 (=65,536 addresses)

So any IP address that you tell us within these ranges will be ones that we can't get to.

Your *real* IP address will be the one that http://www.whatismyip.org/ told you, ie: 71.86.97.250

However... it sounds like either your router or your ISP is blocking port 5121.

If you have any tech-savvy friends who understand these things you might like to ask them

Hey Dark, can you send me your email or phone number or some way to contact you ? My dad is really good with stuff like this, he works as a really high up walmart computer forensics guy and could probably fix your problem for free on our side. just give me a holler and we'll get it fixed for you

Hope things are improving for you now!

For setting up a NWN server you need to set your self a static IP (on your router) and setup port forwarding for a few ports.
It's all described fairly well here...

...where you choose your router from those listed, and it will explain how to set up your router for NWN.

It all *looks* complicated, but if you have any tech-savvy friends, they should be able to understand enough to follow the procedure.
